Have you ever wondered why “Democrat Party” has become the popular way for Republicans to refer to the Democratic Party?

We gave the Afghan people every opportunity to remain free and become prosperous. With a democratic framework, vast protection, and billions spent on civil development and military training, they were setup for success.

I watched in confusion and disbelief as the Republican base and Republican leadership began morphing into a movement of vitriol and pettiness towards our newly elected President. A racist undertone was apparent to me from the very beginning.

The more air we give to the Marjorie Taylor Greenes and Donald Trumps of the world, the higher they rise.

We can stand with all Jewish Israelis, Israel’s defense forces, and the unwitting Palestinians who were born into an impossible situation.

Words matter. They can be used for good by inspiring people to become their best or they can be used for evil like inciting deadly insurrections.

The universe of knowledge is so breathtakingly vast that each of us can only possibly know a tiny sliver of all that exists now and all that existed before.

Why, today, we passionately chant “Black Lives Matter” when we know that all lives matter is because the Black community who is disproportionately victimized by law enforcement deserves our focus at this particular moment in history.

We must ask ourselves if maybe, just maybe, the days of the United States of America as the shining city upon a hill are behind it.
