To stand with Israel and Palestinians too

It’s easy to stand for Israel.

As a small democratic nation of historically persecuted people, surrounded by much larger nations led by religious extremists relentlessly working towards its destruction, Israel must be protected by the international community.

We can stand with Israel.

Let’s also challenge ourselves to see the humanity in and stand for the many Palestinians who have been indoctrinated into hateful ideology through lifelong gaslighting about the Jewish people. Most of these Palestinians are forced to live miserable existences caught between their terrorist rulers who use them as human shields and the necessary actions taken by Israel’s defense forces.

We can stand with those Palestinians.

While standing for both of these peoples, we must also acknowledge the painful realities of battle. Israel must be allowed to defend itself from Hamas - a widely-designated terrorist organization. Given Hamas’s barbaric tactics, there’s no way to avoid horrific collateral damage in defending against them. Innocent Palestinian women, men, and children will die, and that is the fault of their own rulers, not Israel.

We can stand with all Jewish Israelis, Israel’s defense forces, and the unwitting Palestinians who were born into an impossible situation.
